Shows profit at risk, not just revenue.

How the math works

Missed calls per week × share that were new business × share you’d normally win × average job value = revenue at risk each week. If some callers call back or you reach them later, that share is taken out. Weekly × 52 ÷ 12 gives the monthly figure, and weekly × 52 gives the yearly figure. Add your profit margin to see the profit at risk, not just revenue.

Where to find your numbers

  • Missed calls per week: your phone’s call log, or your carrier’s online account. Count the calls you didn’t pick up.
  • Share that were new business: some missed calls are spam or existing customers. Make your best honest guess.
  • Share you’d normally win: out of new callers you do talk to, how many book?
  • Average job value: your typical invoice or sale for a new customer.

What to do with the result

If the number matters to you, the fix is simple: make sure every call gets answered. You can call back faster, forward unanswered calls to a person, or use an AI receptionist that answers 24/7, books into Google Calendar and emails you a summary after every call. Compare your options.

Questions

How do I count my missed calls?

Open your phone’s recent calls, or your carrier’s online call history, and count the calls you didn’t answer in a typical week. Leave out spam.

Why does it ask what share were new business?

Not every missed call is a lost job. Some are existing customers or spam. Only new business counts toward revenue at risk.

Is this estimate exact?

No. It’s simple math on your own numbers, meant to show the size of the problem. Your real result depends on your callers and how fast you call back.

Do you save what I type?

No. The calculator runs in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent.

How do I stop missing calls?

Make sure every call is answered: by you, by your team, or by an AI receptionist that answers 24/7, books into Google Calendar and emails you a summary after every call. You can forward only the calls you don’t pick up.
